Puerto Vallarta: Night Tacos & Secret Culinary Quest

There was so much Jenny taught us!!! It was a bit miserably hot but the tacos were FABULOUS. So much history. So much fun! Be prepared for a lot of walking.

Evening food choices in the romantic district were excellent. Gustavo did an excellent job in the Puerta Vallarta rain!

Very interesting local food tour of Puerto Vallarta with Kevin , our very informative guide with just 4 of us total because of the low season. Expect a lot walking exercise but your tummy will not regret as long as you don't have restrictions and on the go .

Was a lot of fun to hear some of the history of the city and history of the food establishments. Our tour guide was great. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful tour of PV and local taco places. Our guide, Gustavo, was knowledgeable and very friendly. We visited five taco stands and had ice cream at the end. We were STUFFED! Every stop was authentic and delicious. A must do tour!

It was an excellent tour. Kevin went out of his way to show us around. The tacos were out of this world.

Kevin our tour guide was excellent in introducing the different tacos we're having and made some recommendations on places we can visit as this was our first time in PV. 100% recommend this tour to anyone who wants to try different tacos but don't know where to go. A fun way to get to know Puerto Vallarta and eat some truly delicious local food. Kevin was an awesome guide and we had lots of fun!

We did the taco tour with Kevin in Puerto Vallarta, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Kevin was an excellent guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun to talk to. He explained what we were eating, gave us some of the history behind each stop, and made the whole experience feel personal and authentic. The tour took us to five different taco spots, each with its own unique style and flavors, and we finished with a dessert. Everything we tried was delicious, including dishes I normally wouldn’t have thought to order on my own. Kevin made it easy to step out of my comfort zone, and I loved everything I had. I also really appreciated the agua frescas at several of the stops—each one was so refreshing and added something special to the experience (the passion fruit one was my favorite). At one spot, we even got to see fresh tortillas being made right in front of us. Every stop also had a variety of sauces to customize your tacos, which made things even more fun. One thing worth mentioning for travelers: both my partner and I had absolutely no issues with food safety. Everything was super fresh, carefully prepared, and we didn’t have a single tummy problem afterwards. I know that’s something a lot of people worry about, but I can confidently say the whole experience felt safe and top-notch. Kevin even gave us a great birria recommendation for later in our trip. Doing this tour early on really set us up for the rest of our vacation—we now know several local spots we’ll definitely be going back to. It was the perfect way to start our trip, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta.

Wow! Gustavo was absolutely fantastic. He was so friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. You could sense the pride he feels for PV! I loved every minute of the tour … and oh.. the food was spectacular. Every stop was a delicious and fun experience. Gustavo is THE best and we will see the city with him again for sure!
